Stuffhappeningnow.com is an e-zine that covers interesting trends, movements and other nuggets of the zeitgeist which often get minimal coverage in the mainstream press. We write about what people do for fun, adventure or the things they believe in.

We thrive on reports of cool things going on from around the globe and if you have a story you think we'd be interested in, all you need to do is get in touch.

You can't really do fanfares and parades and things over the web, but take it from us, all the pageantry of an iconic institutional inauguration would be a fitting complement to this fine Thursday evening in October - Stuffhappeningnow.com has arrived.
But if you're scratching your proverbial heads, confused as to the purpose and ambitions of this new e-magazine, look no further than the next sentence. We're here to try and provide more coherent, in-depth coverage of trends, styles and great ideas from around the world which often capture people's imagination but don't get a lot of coverage in more mainstream media.
'fascinating and significant'
With no absolute rule to hand, the subjects, stories and people we'll cover could range from the 'amusing but trivial' to the 'fascinating and significant' - from social movements in Madagascar to popular past-times in Paddington. The key element is that anything we write about will have to have some degree of social momentum - if it's influential, we're interested. The point is that we'll be writing about things which you could be a part - or see the effects - of now. We're not about what might happen ten years down the line, but we are about stuff from today's world which you don't want to miss (but might if it weren't for us).
So for now, keep yourselves busy with our first bright-eyed handful of features. We've got a report on the growing popularity and optimistic charm of guerrilla gardening, a tantalising look at the world of GPS and augmented reality gaming and a little blog post on something which caught our eye in recent weeks: the infectious phenomenon of mattress dominoes.
We'll be updating the site regularly from now on, so we hope you'll stick with us and stay tuned to the world you live in.
